About the Company

Upbringo emerged from an idea by two passionate IIT alumni when everything else was revolutionizing they sensed the need to bring about a distinctive change in the preschool Industry as well. Upbringo is a one stop solution for Early Child Care and Education (ECCE) institutes.

Roles and Responsibilities

• GraphQl APIs. Make GraphQl API calls to fetch/update data from/on the backend servers. You're not supposed to build GraphQl APIs. In case you want to explore that part too, you're more than welcome.
• Work as part of a small team, which may include other React Native developers, a project manager, QA professional, and a designer.
• Leverage native platform APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.
• Reach out to the open source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes - Npm packages move fast and often break things.
• Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
• Reusable code. Who prefers having duplicate code lying around? Build modular and reusable code, components and libraries
• Performance. This fast paced generation needs a fast as well as good looking UI in the app. We don't have enough funds to refund those people who smash their Smartphone while using a slow and ugly looking app.
• Automated testing. Do not apply if you claim that you can write bug free code in the first shot. Yes, we need people who are ready to learn from their mistakes rather than someone who never make a mistake.
• Up-to-date. Stay up-to-date with all recent developments, security updates and issues found in the JavaScript and React Native space. The package developers are all humans and we tend to break stuff every now and then so we need someone willing to take this challenge and fix the code.
• A positive mindset and can-do attitude.
• Forensic attention to detail.

Other requirements

•  Firm grasp of the JavaScript language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax
•  Ability to write well-documented, clean Javascript code
•  Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
•  Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle, Android Studio
•  Familiarity with Visual Studio Code ( VSCode )
• Firm grasp of the following
•  GraphQl data manipulation and query language
•  React Native framework to develop cross platform apps
•  Experience with automated testing suite, Jest
•  Proficient in using Git as a version control system

Stipend: 8,000-10,000 per month along with PPO(performance based)

Duration: 3-6 months
